The Plant Cell

Cell Wall-This structure is non-living, and made of cellulose.  It gives the plant cell structure and support, and is much thicker than the plasma membrane.

Plasma Membrane-This living structure is very thin, and has pores in it to let the food in to the cell.  In passive transport, it floats in and out, otherwise, the cell squeezes food in or out.

Chloroplast-These organelles absorb food from the sunlight, for the cell.  There is chlorophyll inside, which gives the cell it's color.

Vacuole-Larger in the plant cell than in the animal, the vacuoles store food for use by the cell.
